Dancingmoon Gourds

Dancingmoon Gourds began in the garden, well over twenty years ago! I grew pumpkins and gourds for the neighborhood kids, bought a book and some tools, and passion ignited. Dancingmoon Gourds undergo a lengthy process, from seed to ripening to drying can take up to twelve months, and then the wood-like gourd can be worked with tools and art materials to become beautiful pieces of art. Hard-shelled gourds grow throughout temperate regions around the world, including here in Michigan, and these millennial plants have been used for centuries to store food and water, and as art and trade goods.
