Become a Friend of the Market!
When you become a Friend of the Market, you support the Leelanau Farmers Markets Association in carrying out our mission of providing the community with fresh, locally produced products and providing local farmers with an outlet to sell those products.
Our volunteer Board of Directors puts in a lot of work to make our five farmers markets in Leelanau County happen each season. While there are thousands of shoppers each week, big crowds do not directly translate into more income for operations. We are a non-profit organization that relies on vendor fees, donations and grants to stay in business. We strive to keep booth fees low for our vendors and farmers.
As a Friend of the Market, you are committing to the continued existence of the Leelanau Farmers Markets in your community, and you are ensuring that everyone in the community has access to fresh, local, healthy food. Together with our friends we can do great things!
